The Madurai District Employment Office has invited unemployed youth to apply for financial assistance under the Tamil Nadu government’s unemployment assistance scheme. In an announcement issued on June 24, the Deputy Director of the Employment Office stated that application forms are being distributed free of cost for eligible candidates who have been registered and waiting for employment opportunities for more than five years. The initiative aims to provide financial support to educated job seekers during their waiting period.
Under this scheme, candidates who have registered their educational qualifications at the District Employment and Career Guidance Centre and continuously renewed their registration are eligible to receive assistance. This applies to individuals ranging from those who have not passed Class 10 to graduates. For persons with disabilities, only one year of registration is sufficient to become eligible.
