Special Trains Extended Until August 30: Trichy – Tambaram Route
Chennai: The special express train running between Tiruchirappalli (Trichy) and Tambaram (Train Nos. 06190/06191) has been extended from August 1 to August 30, according to Southern Railway.
Originally scheduled to operate only until July 30, this special train will now continue to run on the following days each week in both directions:
- Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays
Madurai – Kacheguda Special Train to Halt at Panruti
Southern Railway has also announced updates for the Madurai – Kacheguda weekly special express train:
- From Kacheguda: Departs every Monday at 8:30 PM towards Madurai
- From Madurai: Departs every Wednesday at 10:40 AM towards Kacheguda
- The train will make a temporary one-minute halt at Panruti station between August 18 and August 20
Additional Coach in Chennai – Bengaluru Express
To accommodate increased demand, an extra air-conditioned chair car coach will be added to the Chennai Central – Bengaluru Express (Train Nos. 12027/12028):
- Effective from July 27
- Operates every Sunday in both directions
