The Madurai City Police has announced a temporary traffic diversion in the Goripalayam area, effective from Thursday, August 14, due to ongoing flyover construction work.
According to the official press release from the City Police Commissioner’s Office:
Flyover work is currently underway at the Goripalayam junction. Previously, vehicles coming from the Kabaddi Silai roundabout towards Goripalayam were allowed to travel on the left side of Palam Station Road, while flyover construction was taking place on the right side.
Now that the right-side work has been completed, construction will begin on the left side of Palam Station Road. Therefore, starting Thursday (Aug. 14), vehicles must travel on the right side of the same road instead.
This is a temporary traffic arrangement, and the public and vehicle users are requested to extend their full cooperation until the completion of the works.
