Former Indian cricket captain M.S. Dhoni is set to inaugurate a brand-new cricket stadium in Madurai today.
The stadium has been constructed near Velammal Hospital on Chinthamani Ring Road, Madurai, in collaboration between the Velammal Educational Trust and the Tamil Nadu Cricket Association. Spread across 11.5 acres, the facility has been built at a cost of ₹325 crore, with features that meet international standards.
This stadium is expected to become a future venue for TNPL, IPL, and Ranji Trophy matches.
