At a government function held near Solar in Erode district, Chief Minister M.K. Stalin inaugurated projects worth ₹605.44 crore, including the newly constructed Erode Solar Bus Terminal costing ₹74.90 crore. Welfare benefits were distributed to 1,84,491 beneficiaries as part of government schemes.
During his address, the CM criticized former Chief Minister Edappadi Palaniswami’s claims of being a farmer, saying that true farmers should not be insulted. He slammed the Central Government for rejecting Tamil Nadu’s proposal to relax paddy moisture norms.
He also condemned the Central Government’s rejection of Metro Rail projects for Coimbatore and Madurai, calling it unfair treatment towards opposition-ruled states. Responding to the Governor’s remarks linking Tamil Nadu with extremism, Stalin accused the BJP-led Centre of failing to prevent major attacks in India while questioning the Governor’s statements.
Stalin proudly mentioned fulfilling the promise of establishing a memorial for freedom fighter Pollan in Modakkurichi.
He urged the people to ensure their names are present in the voter list, warning that attempts were being made to undermine voting rights through special voter revisions.
“Dravidian Model 2.0 is certain. You must stand with it by safeguarding your voting rights,” he said.
