At a wedding event in Madurai, AIADMK General Secretary Edappadi Palaniswami was asked about former minister Sengottaiyan joining the Tvk party. EPS gave a sharp response, saying:
“Why are you asking me about him? He is not in AIADMK. What does it matter to us which party he joins?”
Later, when asked if Sengottaiyan indirectly criticized him with a quote, EPS calmly replied:
“Everyone has their own opinion. I don’t need to react to the views of someone who is no longer in AIADMK.”
