The case related to the death of Ajith Kumar was heard yesterday in the Madurai Bench of the Madras High Court. Ajith Kumar’s brother, Naveen Kumar, who had arrived for the hearing, spoke to the media and made the following statements:

“In connection with the theft of jewelry, both my brother Ajith Kumar and I were severely assaulted by the police. Due to the police brutality, my brother Ajith Kumar lost his life, and I have also suffered significant harm. Currently, the Tamil Nadu government has provided me with a job in the Karur Dairy (Aavin). However, this is not a government job. Additionally, the Aavin office is located 80 kilometers away, which is far from Madurai. Hence, I request that a government job be provided in Madurai itself.”

Naveen Kumar further added, “We are being offered land and house in underdeveloped areas, which does not satisfy us. We are not content with this arrangement. Those responsible for my brother Ajith Kumar’s death, including high-ranking police officials, must be given appropriate punishment.”

In response, during the hearing, it was stated that the job offered to Naveen Kumar at Aavin is not considered a government position. However, the judges remarked that “Aavin is an institution operating under the government.”
