Free Commercial Vehicle Driver Training for Women – A New Chapter in the “Naan Mudhalvan” Scheme!

To increase employment opportunities for women in Tamil Nadu, under the leadership of Chief Minister M.K. Stalin, the government has announced free commercial vehicle driver training through the Tamil Nadu Road Transport Corporation’s IRT (Institute of Road Transport) as part of the “Naan Mudhalvan” scheme.

This training will be conducted at selected training centers across various districts of Tamil Nadu.

  • Vellore
  • Trichy
  • Kumbakonam
  • Karaikudi
  • Pudukkottai
  • Salem
  • Dharmapuri
  • Pollachi
  • Erode
  • Tirunelveli
  • Nagercoil
  • Madurai
  • Dindigul
  • Virudhunagar

Eligibility:

  • Applicant must be above 20 years of age.
  • Must be able to speak and understand Tamil.
  • Must have a light motor vehicle driver’s license (valid for more than one year).
  • Must hold a PSV badge (Public Service Vehicle badge).
  • Must have a mobile number linked with Aadhaar that is active.

Training Details:

  • Total training duration: 65 working days.
  • The training is completely free of cost.
  • Job opportunities will be guaranteed for those who complete the training.

  1. Visit the website: https://www.tnskill.tn.gov.in
  2. Select the course titled “Commercial Vehicle Driver Training Level 4”.
  3. Choose the preferred training center and apply by entering Aadhaar number and other details.
