Free Laptops for 20,000 Students in Madurai
Under the Tamil Nadu Government’s “World in Your Hands” scheme, free laptops are being distributed to 20,000 students in Madurai district to strengthen digital learning and technological skills among college students.
The distribution was officially launched on January 15 and will continue until February 20. The initiative aims to support students’ education, enhance digital access, and prepare them for future opportunities in technology-driven fields.
Students will receive laptops from leading brands, equipped with modern specifications to meet academic and technical requirements. The scheme reflects the government’s commitment to investing in education and empowering the youth through technology.
The laptop distribution will be carried out in phases across the district through designated institutions and authorities.
