Sri Meenakshi Government Women’s College

Established in 1965, Sri Meenakshi Government Women’s Arts College in Madurai is a prominent institution dedicated to women’s education in Tamil Nadu. The college is affiliated with Madurai Kamaraj University and offers a variety of undergraduate, postgraduate, M.Phil., and Ph.D. programs across different disciplines.


About Us:

Located in the historic city of Madurai, the college started on a 16-acre campus with 320 students. Over the years, it has grown significantly and now offers 13 undergraduate and 7 postgraduate programs, serving approximately 2,894 students annually. In 1998, the institution was granted autonomy, enhancing its academic flexibility and administration.
