This school was founded by Shri T.S. Rajam, the eldest son of Shri T.V. Sundaram Iyengar. It was established in the year 1964.
The first Headmaster of the school was Shri S. Ramasamy Iyengar, B.A., B.T., who was well known for his excellence in Mathematics, English, Tamil, and Music. He had received both state and national awards for his contributions in these fields.
From 1964 to 1980, the school operated in TVS Nagar (now the campus of TVS Matriculation Higher Secondary School). In 1981, it was shifted to its present location in Lakshmipuram.
Notably, the school has been honored by visits from distinguished guests such as the President of India, Shri V.V. Giri, and the Education Minister, Shri S.P. Soman.
Our school functions with the aid of the Tamil Nadu State Government and is administered by the Lakshmi Vidya Sangham.
