To manage the increased passenger rush during the Christmas and New Year holidays, Southern Railway has announced special train services between Tirunelveli and Chennai Tambaram.
The special train will operate on December 28 and January 4 (Sundays), departing from Tirunelveli at 11:30 PM and arriving at Tambaram at 10:55 AM the next day.
The train will run via Virudhunagar, Madurai, and Dindigul.
In the return direction, the special train will operate on December 29 and January 5 (Mondays), departing from Tambaram at 3:30 PM and reaching Tirunelveli at 4:00 AM the following day.
This service will run via Dindigul, Madurai, and Virudhunagar.
Railway officials stated that these special services are expected to provide significant relief to passengers traveling to and from southern Tamil Nadu during the festive season.
