the government promises jobs for youth within 2.5 months

Following the Madurai Bench of the High Court directing that the results of the Police Sub-Inspector (SI) examination should not be released for 10 days over the alleged omission of Tamil-language questions, AIADMK General Secretary Edappadi Palaniswami has asserted that a future AIADMK government would ensure fair recruitment and provide jobs to deserving youth. He stated that in another two-and-a-half months, an AIADMK government would assume office and conduct government recruitment examinations transparently.

In a post on the social media platform X, Palaniswami referred to the court proceedings, stating that despite a prescribed syllabus being issued, not a single question was reportedly asked from Tamil in the SI examination. He highlighted that the High Court had questioned how such an omission could occur when candidates had prepared according to the notified syllabus.

He further criticised the DMK government, alleging inconsistency between its stated commitment to promoting Tamil and the conduct of examinations. He pointed to previous controversies surrounding the Group 2 and Cooperative Department examinations, claiming recurring irregularities in recruitment processes.

Referring to the Municipal Administration Department recruitment controversy, he suggested that repeated lapses in examinations had raised doubts among candidates and the public. He also recalled the electoral promise of filling 3.5 lakh government posts, alleging that delays and irregularities had adversely affected the aspirations of lakhs of youth.

Stating that young aspirants were determined to bring change, Palaniswami assured that an AIADMK government would conduct recruitment examinations properly and appoint qualified candidates to various government posts through a transparent process.
