TVK Conference with 1.5 Million Cadres Expected – Vijay’s Parents Arrive in Madurai

Ahead of the second state conference of Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK) scheduled to be held tomorrow in Madurai’s Parapathi area, party president Vijay’s father S.A. Chandrasekhar and mother Shoba arrived in Madurai today.

On their arrival at the Madurai airport, they were given a warm and enthusiastic welcome by TVK administrators and office-bearers.

Conference Preparations

  • The conference venue has been set up on a vast 500-acre site at Parapathi near Madurai.
  • Six separate parking areas have been allocated.
  • Seating arrangements are almost fully completed.
  • Several hotels across Madurai have been booked by the party to accommodate district secretaries’ families and VIPs.

Vijay’s Travel Plans

Vijay will not be arriving by flight; instead, he is expected to travel to Madurai in his customized caravan van. Before leaving, he is finalizing last-minute preparations at his Panaiyur office in Chennai.

Participation

  • The leadership is planning for nearly 1.5 million cadres to take part in the event.
  • From northern districts (above Trichy), around 20 vans are organized.
  • From southern districts (below Trichy), nearly 40–50 vans will bring supporters.

Political Significance

  • The event is being planned on a massive scale to counter claims that Vijay has less influence in southern Tamil Nadu.
  • No special guests have been invited; the entire focus will be only on Vijay.
  • Every banner carries the slogan: “People’s Choice for Chief Minister – Vijay.”
  • Vijay will be the only speaker addressing the conference.

👉 In summary, tomorrow’s TVK State Conference in Madurai is set to be a mega show-of-strength event centered entirely around Vijay’s leadership, with his parents’ arrival today adding emotional significance.
