YES Bank was founded in 2004 by Rana Kapoor and Ashok Kapur with the vision of creating a new-age private sector bank in India that focused on innovation, customer service, and technology-driven banking. Over the years, YES Bank grew rapidly by focusing on corporate banking, retail banking, and digital services. It became known for its aggressive growth strategies and strong client relationships.
However, in recent years, YES Bank faced financial difficulties due to rising non-performing assets and governance issues. In 2020, the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) intervened and restructured the bank’s board and management to stabilize the institution. Since then, YES Bank has been working on recovery and regaining market confidence.
