CM Launches Mega Schemes in Madurai

Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M.K. Stalin is scheduled to undertake a one-day visit to Madurai on February 21 to inaugurate and launch multiple government development projects across the region. He will depart from Chennai Airport at 9:30 a.m. by a special flight and is expected to arrive at Madurai Airport at 10:10 a.m. From there, he will proceed to the ELCOT IT Park at Vadapalanji, where he will inaugurate the Pinnacle Company’s Skill Development Centre building at 11:35 a.m. In view of the visit, elaborate security arrangements have been put in place and officials from various departments have conducted preparatory inspections.

Madurai Airport, Vadapalanji ELCOT IT Park, Tamukkam–Nelpet Anna Statue stretch, Sivaganga, Sri Meenakshi Government Women’s College Madurai, Vandiyur Kanmai, Uthangudi, Gandhi Memorial Museum.

Pinnacle Skill Development Centre, Netaji Subash Chandra Bose High-Level Bridge constructed at a cost of Rs 190.4 crore spanning 1.1 km, unveiling of Maruthu Brothers statues in Sivaganga via video conference, upgraded computer laboratory at Sri Meenakshi Government Women’s College, Vandiyur Kanmai Park, Anguran Science Centre, new municipal office buildings, combined drinking water scheme for 867 rural households.

Intensified security arrangements, traffic diversions announced, police deployment across event venues, installation of barricades and surveillance measures.

DMK South Zone booth committee members’ consultative meeting at Uthangudi at 4 p.m., participation in an event at the Gandhi Memorial Museum, departure to Chennai by special flight at 7:30 p.m.

Officials have appealed to the public to cooperate with the temporary traffic and security arrangements during the Chief Minister’s visit.
