The Arulmigu Kallazhagar Temple in Melur taluk of Madurai district has officially announced key events for the 2026 Chithirai Grand Festival scheduled on April 17, Friday. According to the temple administration, the Kotagai Muhurtham ceremony and the Thousand Gold Chariot head decoration ritual will take place between 07:35 AM and 08:05 AM at the Tallakulam Arulmigu Prasanna Venkatajalapathi Temple premises. Subsequently, another significant Kotagai Muhurtham event is scheduled between 09:45 AM and 10:30 AM at the Thenur Mandapam located along the Vaigai River in Vandiyur, Madurai.
