Tamil Nadu Minister Nirmal Kumar on Tuesday responded to questions regarding the proposed Rs 2,500 women’s entitlement assistance scheme during a media interaction in Madurai. Speaking after offering prayers at the Madurai Meenakshi Amman Temple, the minister stated that large-scale financial allocations could only be implemented after the state budget is presented. He added that Chief Minister Vijay would streamline the required financial resources before any major welfare announcement is made. The minister also clarified that such schemes cannot be implemented immediately through a single government order and said the Chief Minister would address the media at an appropriate time regarding the matter.
