More than a thousand school and college students in Madurai took part in a large-scale anti-drug awareness human chain organised to protect the younger generation from substance abuse. The event was jointly conducted on Monday by the Star Guru Charitable Trust and Bharathi Hospital, stretching from Gandhi Museum to Rajaji Park Road in the city. The initiative aimed to spread awareness about the growing impact of drug addiction among youth and to encourage collective social responsibility in eliminating the menace. Students stood hand-in-hand, raising slogans such as “Let’s Eradicate Drugs, Save the Next Generation,” emphasizing the urgent need to combat the spread of narcotics in society.
