Due to scheduled maintenance work in various sections of the Madurai Railway Division, five trains that usually pass through Madurai will be diverted via Trichy from October 9 to 14, as per a Southern Railway announcement.

- Nagercoil – Mumbai CSMT Express (Train No. 16352)

- Diverted via: Virudhunagar → Aruppukkottai → Manamadurai → Sivaganga → Karaikudi → Pudukkottai → Trichy

- Kanyakumari – Howrah Superfast Express (Train No. 12666)
- Date: October 11

- Revised Departure: Will depart from Madurai at 12:30 PM instead of 12:05 PM (25 minutes delay)
Train Cancellations:
- Rameswaram Express (Train No. 16849)
- Dates: October 8 to 10 and October 13
- Cancelled Segment: Will not run between Manamadurai and Rameswaram
- Return Train Adjustment: The return service from Rameswaram (scheduled at 3:00 PM) will instead depart from Manamadurai at 4:55 PM to Trichy
