Tamil Nadu SSLC Results Released; WhatsApp Service Launched

Tamil Nadu SSLC results, Class 10 public examination, pass percentage increase, girls outperform boys, district rankings, WhatsApp result service, School Education Department

The Tamil Nadu School Education Department has officially released the Class 10 SSLC public examination results today. More than 9 lakh students appeared for the examinations this year, and the overall pass percentage has been recorded at 94.31 percent.

Earlier, Chief Minister Vijay held discussions with School Education Minister Rajmohan and senior officials regarding the release of examination results. The meeting focused on resolving technical issues, ensuring timely publication of results, and streamlining result-related services for students.

Following the review meeting, School Education Minister Rajmohan formally announced the results. Students can access their scores by entering their registration number and date of birth on the official websites tnresults.nic.in, dge.tn.gov.in and results.digilocker.gov.in.

Among the subject-wise pass percentages, English secured the highest success rate at 99.44 percent. Tamil recorded 98.43 percent, Science 98 percent, Social Science 97.93 percent, and Mathematics 97.36 percent.

In the district-wise rankings, Pudukkottai district secured the top position. Sivagangai ranked second, followed by Thanjavur in third place, Tiruchirappalli in fourth, and Kanniyakumari in fifth position.

A total of 8,21,105 students cleared the examinations this year. Among them, 4,19,891 girls passed the exams, registering a pass percentage of 96.47 percent. Boys recorded a pass percentage of 92.15 percent with 4,01,214 students passing. Girls outperformed boys by 4.32 percent.

Compared to last year’s overall pass percentage of 93.80 percent, this year recorded an increase of 0.51 percent. School-wise statistics show that private self-financing schools led with a pass percentage of 98.14 percent. Government-aided schools recorded 94.34 percent, while government schools achieved 91.86 percent.

In the list of centum scorers, 10,476 students secured full marks in Science. Mathematics saw 3,194 centum holders, while 3,336 students scored full marks in Social Science. A total of 92 students secured centum in English, and 34 students achieved full marks in Tamil.

For the first time, the School Education Department has also introduced a WhatsApp-based result service. Students can send “Hi” to 7845252525 through WhatsApp, select the Directorate of Government Examinations option, enter their examination number and date of birth, and receive their marks instantly on the platform, according to the department’s official announcement.
