Annamalai strongly criticized Minister P. T. R. Palanivel Thiaga Rajan, alleging large-scale corruption within the Madurai Corporation and questioning delays in appointing a new mayor. He also accused the state government of financial mismanagement during PTR’s tenure as Finance Minister.
