The rally, held in support of AIADMK candidates, has intensified political discussions in the region.

Annamalai strongly criticized Minister P. T. R. Palanivel Thiaga Rajan, alleging large-scale corruption within the Madurai Corporation and questioning delays in appointing a new mayor. He also accused the state government of financial mismanagement during PTR’s tenure as Finance Minister.

On the Madurai Metro project, he accused the M. K. Stalin-led government of misleading the public, claiming that no formal proposal has been submitted to the Centre. He asserted that only under Edappadi K. Palaniswami leadership would such projects gain momentum.

Addressing another rally in Tirupparankundram, he criticized the government for not implementing a court order related to the temple lighting ceremony, framing it as a failure to respect spiritual sentiments.

He concluded by emphasizing that effective coordination between the State and Central governments is crucial for Tamil Nadu’s development and urged voters to support the AIADMK alliance.
