The Reserve Bank of India has announced recruitment for 650 Assistant posts across the country, including 53 vacancies in the Chennai region, inviting applications from candidates with any bachelor’s degree qualification, with the age limit fixed between 20 and 28 years, and offering a monthly gross salary of up to Rs.58,514, while the last date to apply has been set as March 8, 2026.
According to the official notification issued by the Reserve Bank of India, selected candidates will be appointed to the post of Assistant. The initial basic pay has been fixed at Rs.29,000 per month. With admissible allowances and other benefits, the current monthly gross emoluments amount to Rs.58,514. Applicants must possess a bachelor’s degree from a recognized university to be eligible for the post.
The prescribed age limit is 20 to 28 years. Age relaxation will be provided to candidates belonging to reserved categories as per government norms. Additionally, applicants must be proficient in reading, writing, and speaking the official language of the state or union territory concerned, which is a mandatory eligibility requirement.
The selection process will be conducted in three stages. Candidates must clear the Online Preliminary Examination, followed by the Online Main Examination and a Language Proficiency Test for final selection. The Online Preliminary Examination is scheduled to be held on April 11, 2026, while the Online Main Examination will take place on June 7, 2026.
