Kallazhagar Aadi Festival Begins in Madurai

The annual Aadi Festival at Arulmigu Sri Kallazhagar Sundararaja Perumal Temple in Madurai commenced successfully on Tuesday, July 21, with the traditional morning flag-hoisting ceremony. The rituals were performed with Vedic chants, special poojas, and customary temple traditions in the presence of a large number of devotees. Following the successful completion of the inaugural ceremonies, the temple is set to conduct the Anna Vahana procession this evening, marking the first major public event of the festival.
