Two Madurai MLAs Likely in Vijay Cabinet

With TVK emerging victorious in 108 constituencies in the Tamil Nadu Assembly elections and moving closer to forming the next government, discussions over the party’s cabinet formation have intensified. Political sources indicate that two MLAs from Madurai district — Tirupparankundram MLA CTR Nirmal Kumar and Madurai North MLA Kallaanai — are likely to secure ministerial berths in the upcoming cabinet. Among them, CTR Nirmal Kumar is reportedly being considered for the Hindu Religious and Charitable Endowments Department. Meanwhile, TVK leader Vijay is expected to take oath as Chief Minister tomorrow after meeting the Governor to stake claim to form the government.
