Ajith Kumar’s death Temple guard who died due to police abuse – High Court raises questions!

The death of Ajithkumar, the security guard at Madappuram Temple, and the investigation surrounding it have raised serious concerns. It is reported that Ajithkumar was beaten to death by the police. In addition to this, the High Court has raised important questions. They have asked, “Was Ajithkumar a terrorist?” because he was allegedly beaten to death by the police in a routine inquiry.

Details:

  • Robbery Case: A woman who came to visit the Madappuram Kali Temple reported that gold jewelry was stolen from her car. Based on this complaint, Ajithkumar was summoned by the police for questioning.
  • Ajithkumar’s Death: During the interrogation, Ajithkumar was reportedly severely beaten by the police, which led to his death.
  • Village Situation: There is increasing concern about illegal police assaults and the lack of proper action against errant officers.
  • Investigation Status: The High Court has taken up the case for its own investigation and has urged for appropriate orders to be issued. Simultaneously, a petition has been filed demanding that a murder case be registered against the police officers involved.

High Court Question:
The judges have raised the question, “Why was Ajithkumar attacked in this manner? If he was considered a terrorist, where is the justification for that assumption?”

Next Steps:
This case is scheduled for hearing tomorrow (July 1), and there are expectations that action will be taken against the police officers involved.

In conclusion, this case highlights the misuse of police power and is a significant one for strengthening accountability and controlling the abuse of authority within the police force.
